Lunatec Aquabot pressurizes your water bottle to spray a stream or mist of water.

What It Is: A bottle top, fitting most Nalgene and Camelbak bottles, that sprays a steady stream or mist of water.

Why We Like It: The Aquabot relies on a simple pump to create air pressure inside your vessel (any with a 63mm standard bottle opening). Just press the back of the top to release the water. A twist of the nozzle determines if you're spraying a single stream or mist.

Fitted to the sort of bottles we'd already be taking on adventures, Aquabot sped up and eased cleaning — whether it was for ourselves or our gear. On a recent overnight camping trip to the beaches of Fire Island National Seashore, the Aquabot's stream of pressurized water quickly cleaned out our one cooking pot (we travel light) several times over, as we moved on from coffee, to eggs, and then bacon. With the nozzle set to mist, we could wash our hands and faces, or clean sand off our feet. More importantly, the Aquabot significantly reduced our water usage on a trip where we had to pack in our water.

Nitpick: While the Aquabot is powerful enough to clean, the stream was relatively slow for actually drinking our water. Of course, we could always just unscrew the top.
